If you think your room or house is being infested with bed bugs then it’s probably time to do some spring-cleaning.
- Thoroughly check for bed bugs infestation.
- Move the bed(s) away from walls.
- Strip down all covers for blankets, mattresses and pillows.
- A good vacuuming around the room(s); with special care on the beddings including matresses. Discard the vacuum cleaner bag tightly sealed.
- Coat bed legs with petroleum jelly to prevent them crawling up on the bed.
- Apply approved household insecticide for bed bugs control but be careful not to use it on mattresses as insecticides are usually unsuitable to clean them.
- Use anti dust mite covers for beddings.
- Hire pest controlling service for thorough checks and treatment from time to time.
If every possible care has been taken and bed bugs are still a problem, ALWAYS seek professional help as soon as possible.
